Today, 14th April 2010, Sun has entered Aries (Mesh), its sign of exaltation. The Surya reaches its fullest potential in Mesh Rashi. Every year Sun transits through this sign from 14th April to 15th May. According to the Jyotish texts, Surya stays in a super exalted ( Uccha) state for the first ten days of this one month long stay in Aries.

As Sun enters Aries it comes out of the Samsaptak yoga with Saturn which it had formed when it had entered Pisces (Meen) last month. In Aries, Venus is already in transit with Mercury. This combination of Venus, Sun and Mercury will be there till 20th April when Venus leaves Aries to enter Taurus (Vrishabh), its own sign, where it becomes a Swagrahi.

After Venus moves to Taurus on 20th April 2010, Sun and Mercury will form a pure Budh-Aditya yoga till 15th of April 2010. During this time Mercury will become retrograde in Aries. Mars will stay in Dasham-Chaturth (Tenth-Fourth) yoga with Sun and Mercury throughout this period and Saturn will be in a Shadashtak yoga (Sixth-Eighth) yoga with them. Jupiter enters Pisces, its own sign, on 2nd May 2010. This will mark the beginning of the end of the economic recession in India and other nations but the good results will not start showing before the end of June 2010.

We can expect some serious actions by the governments to control the nefarious activities of the terrorists and anti-social elements. IT and banking sectors will get a boost during this period. But, for India this may be a difficult period again. Stock market will fluctuate quite seriously. Although the fourth quarter results will be good the prices will still be high keeping the common man still in misery. The heat wave which is blowing across whole of India will show some reduction in intensity after 20th April 2010 but the conditions will still remain unbearable throughout this transit of Sun in Aries.
