Some hours ago, the city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat, India, shook with bomb blasts. Till the latest news six bombs had exploded in various parts of the city.

Yesterday, the tech-city of India, Bangalore, witnessed eight bomb blasts. Clearly, the terrorists are very inclined to make life difficult for the common man and the security forces in India.

Astrologically speaking, India has entered the Antardasha of Ketu in the Mahadasha of Venus on 10th July 2008. India was declared an independent nation on 00.00 hrs of 15th August 1947 in Delhi. Pakistan was born half an hour earlier at 23.30 hrs on 14th August 1947 in Lahore.

India gets a Taurus ascendant and pisces Navamsa. In the lagna chart, Rahu is placed in ascendant and Ketu in seventh house. Mars is in second house in Gemini and Jupiter is in sixth house in Libra. Rest five planets namely Sun, Moon, Venus, Mercury and Saturn are crowded together in third house, the house of valour, courage, battles and warfare.

Ketu antardasha saw the change in ruling coalition a few days ago and within months it will also see a Nuclear Energy treaty with USA, a better and stronger partnership than ever before (Ketu in Seventh).

Ketu is in transit in third house affecting all the five planets sitting there. These five planets govern a lot of houses in the chart. So, Ketu, in a way, affects all these houses.

If we look at yesterday and today's transits we find four planets in third house, out of which Sun, Mercury and Venus are in exactly the same house as they were in the natal chart. The third lord, Moon, is in twelfth house signifying losses in terms of the virtues related to third house.

Jupiter is retrograde in eighth house in its own sign giving more than usual vulnerability to terrorist hits and attacks to the nation. Mars-Saturn are in fourth house showing threats to internal security and political instability.

Ketu dasha is usually damaging for the Taurus ascendant and a lot of instability is there. India had gone through Ketu mahadasha from 1982 to 1989, a period which saw the birth and growth of terrorism in India. Before this period no political leader had ever lived under threat of assasination. No bomb blasts were ever heard in times of peace in civilian localities.

It is the combination of Ketu transit and Ketu antardasha which is making things so shaky today. The Ketu antardasha will end on 9th September 2009.
