On 30th March 2010, Mercury (Budh) entered Aries after ending its stay in the watery sign Pisces (Meen). Aries is not a friendly sign for Mercury as it is ruled by Budh's enemy Mars. It also sheds some of its fickleness, verbosity and uncontrolled curiosity in this 'straight as hammer blow' sign.

Tomorrow, on 27th March 2010, Venus (Shukra) leaves its sign of exaltation, Pisces (Meen), to enter Aries (Mesh). Venus had entered Pisces on 2nd March 2010. It will stay in Aries till 20th April 2010. The previous transit of Shukra in Mesh Rashi was from 31st May 2009 to 30th June 2009.

On 22nd March 2010, Sun and Saturn will come in exact mutual opposition. These two mutually conflicting planets had come in a Samsaptak yoga (opposition) on 14th March 2010 when Surya had entered Pisces (Meen). As Saturn is in transit in Virgo (Kanya) since 9th September 2009, these two had formed a Samsaptak Yoga as a result.

As of today, Sun was transiting with Mercury and Jupiter in the sign of Aquarius (Kumbh). Moon too had joined this combination yesterday. Since past one month Sun was with Jupiter, making the benevolent planet combust and powerless. Then Mercury had entered Aquarius and as of today it is also fully combust.
The discipline of Jupiter was becoming more strict under the harsh gaze of Sun. As Mercury becomes highly influenced by Sun when it is in its vicinity and it is combust too due to its nearness to Sun in degrees, it was unable to soften the methodical regulations of Sun.
