Today, 2nd March 2010, Venus (Shukra), the planet of love, intimacy, beauty, luxuries, music, arts, entertainment, good food, travels, vehicles and hospitality, enters the sign of Pisces (Meen). In Jyotish, Venus is considered as exalted or ' Uccha' in Pisces. An exaltation means that the planet is showing its best possible good results.

Today Jupiter became fully combust as it became exactly conjunct with Sun in the sign of Aquarius (Kumbh). These two planets came together at 15° 45' in Aquarius today, 28th February 2010.
Every year Jupiter gets nearer to Sun in degrees and becomes non-visible in the glare of the Sun. This happens when Jupiter is in the far side of its orbit with Sun positioned between Jupiter and the Earth.

Today Mercury enters Aquarius (Kumbh). The planets Venus, Sun and Jupiter are already in transit in Aquarius. Jupiter is combust due to its nearness to Sun in degrees. As Mercury joins this grouping of the three planets a strong Pravajya Yoga is formed.

 As Sun shifts to Aquarius it leaves behind Mars and Mercury in a pure Samsaptak yoga in Capricorn and Cancer. Mars is already retrograde in Cancer and is showing its volatile destructive results on all humanity. In Capricorn, Mercury was earlier supported by Sun, representing the Governance and control, but now it faces its arch enemy Mars full on.

Sun enters Aquarius (Kumbh) tomorrow, 13th February 2010. It will join the august company of Venus and Jupiter which are already in transit in Aquarius. Sun will stay in Kumbh till 14th March 2010 when it leaves Aquarius to enter Pisces.
