Emerald is a green coloured stone of the Beryl family. It is highly valued and is much in demand. It is classified as a precious gemstone. Emeralds are used as remedial gemstones for Mercury or Budh. Emerald is called Panna in Hindi.

Exaltation

An Exaltation means a placement of a planet in which it shows its best possible positive effects. Such a planet is called an Exalted planet. The Sanskrit term for exaltation is 'Uccha' and the exalted planet is called an 'Uccha Graha'. The sign of exaltation is called an 'Uccha Rashi'
