A Samsaptak yoga is a yoga where two planets are in opposite signs to each other.

For example, if Sun is in Aries and Mars is in Libra then these two are said to be in a Samsaptak yoga.

This yoga is also called an 'Opposition'.

Saturn is also called Shani in Jyotish. Saturn rules over Aquarius and Capricorn. Saturn is exalted in the sign of Libra or Tula. The gem for Saturn is Neelam or Blue Saphire. Neelam is worn in a silver ring on middle finger.

Swa = Own, Grah = House. A planet in its own house. Such a planet is considered in a powerful and positive state. Only the seven physical planets have a swagrah.
