Term Definition
Vaishakh

Vaishakh is the second month of the Jyotish Calender used in India and neighbouring countries. It is also called Baishakh. Its name is derived from Vishakha Nakshatra as the full moon (Poornima) in Vaishakh month is always in Vishakha nakshatra. This month usually begins in March or April and ends in April or May.

Vakri

Vakri is the term used for the retrograde motion of a planet. The retrograde planet is called a 'Vakri Grah' in Sanskrit in Jyotish.

Venus

Venus is the second planet from the Sun. In astrology it denotes love, romance, affection, physical pleasures, luxuries, vehicles and creativity. Venus rules over Taurus and Libra. It is exalted in Pisces. The gemstones for Venus are Diamond and White Sapphire. Its gemstones are worn on a silver ring on ring finger.
