What is a Neelam and why are there so many myths about it? Print

Neelam is the popular term for Blue Sapphire. Neelam is worn mounted on a ring or a pendant as a gem therapy for Saturn

Normally every gem can produce good or bad results depending on the placement of the related planet in the horoscope. But, Neelam is such a gemstone that each individual Neelam is required to be checked for its effects by the one who wants to wear it before actually wearing it on a ring or on a pendant. The reason being that every Neelam has its own hidden good or bad results. It is a very sensitive gem and it takes on the negative or positive energies of the people through whose hands it has come to the final possessor.

So, even if Saturn is a benefic in horoscope and is well placed, when wearing a Neelam, the gem must be tested and checked for its hidden influences before wearing it.

It is true that if a Neelam suits a person then it can take the person's wealth, fame, prosperity and name to great heights. It can also do the reverse if it does not suit a person or if the individual Neelam carries some hidden negative energies. So, a Neelam should never be worn in a hurry simply out of curiosity or whim.
